The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cai Drevland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Royal Antwerp FC's William Weggers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cai Drevland in the 15th minute of play. Cai Drevland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Weggers having to interfere. FC Pladask's Bjørn Engelund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Van Kamp in the 20th minute of play. When Ronny Sund came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the FC Pladask fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronny Sund couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the match, Royal Antwerp FC's goalkeeper William Weggers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronny Sund. William Weggers came out and tried to block the shot, but Cai Drevland slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 29th minute. The supporters of FC Pladask booed when Royal Antwerp FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Neirynck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronny Sund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but William Weggers made a huge save. Bjørn Engelund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Van Kamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute Royal Antwerp FC were awarded a corner. Tobias Postens went to the cornerflag to take it. Nils-Johan Hagberg tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Bjørn Engelund. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-1 in the 43rd minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexandre Van Kamp made a kick off. Bjørn Engelund came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Royal Antwerp FC's Marcus Neirynck. But to his dismay, Marcus Neirynck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When Alek Sliepers was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. A collision led to Royal Antwerp FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Alek Sliepers hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, FC Pladask's goalkeeper Bjørn Engelund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcus Neirynck. Marcus Neirynck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Bjørn Engelund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robbrecht De Metser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. The FC Pladask supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Royal Antwerp FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Royal Antwerp FC.
