Eriberto Sindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustaquio Omero, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Humberto Iyan during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Humberto Iyan hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Omero in the 5th minute of play forced Deportivo Diamante U18's goalkeeper Eriberto Sindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Diamante U18's Iker Paul got a free kick in the 8th minute. Eriberto Sindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Oroitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eriberto Sindo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eustaquio Omero went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 18th minute Eustaquio Omero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Sindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Petri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sixto Magdaleno in the 20th minute. Abelardo Berriotxoa kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Deportivo Diamante U18's Eriberto Sindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Omero in the 25th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eustaquio Omero in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eriberto Sindo saved Deportivo Diamante U18 from getting behind. Deportivo Diamante U18's Eriberto Sindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosme Manilan in the 26th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Aureliano Oroitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Sindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Mario Chorche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42nd play minutes Eustaquio Omero shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Eriberto Sindo and just under the crossbar into goal. 45 minutes into the game, Eustaquio Omero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Eriberto Sindo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Los Hornos's Cristo Perez was substituted for Gabriel Orlin. Los Hornos's Desiderio Florian was substituted for Remigio Fidensio. The wind increased when Sixto Magdaleno made the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Deportivo Diamante U18 got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Pirro. Leopoldo Petri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixto Magdaleno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eustaquio Omero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Eriberto Sindo made a huge save. In the 63rd minute, Los Hornos's Aureliano Oroitz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eriberto Sindo. Eriberto Sindo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 68th match minute, Los Hornos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Raulo to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Diamante U18's Mario Chorche got a free kick in the 69th minute. Aureliano Oroitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Omero in the 73rd minute of play forced Deportivo Diamante U18's goalkeeper Eriberto Sindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute Sixto Magdaleno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Petri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 78 minutes of play Los Hornos's Humberto Iyan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 79th match minute, Los Hornos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Iyan to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the game, Los Hornos's Cristo Perez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eriberto Sindo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Cosme Manilan might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eriberto Sindo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cosme Manilan ran back to his position shaking his head. The Los Hornos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Los Hornos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
