In the 9th match minute, Wambalamba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Vander to maneuver through the defense. Toninho Moura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Neirynck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcus Neirynck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. William Weggers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gernando Gerber showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandre Van Kamp during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th minute Marcus Neirynck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Wambalamba FC's Zé Paulo Motta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When Luk Van Clynenbreugel fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Royal Antwerp FC's protests and gave Luk Van Clynenbreugel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, Royal Antwerp FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luk Van Clynenbreugel to maneuver through the defense. Marcus Neirynck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marcus Neirynck came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Royal Antwerp FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Neirynck couldn't finish the play. Toninho Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Van Kamp in the 45th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Zé Paulo Motta put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of William Weggers.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Paulo Motta in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck William Weggers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Royal Antwerp FC's Luk Van Clynenbreugel got a free kick in the 58th minute. Zé Paulo Motta was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 59th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Royal Antwerp FC's zone, Fabinho Quadros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Weggers came out of the goal and Fabinho Quadros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st match minute, Royal Antwerp FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alek Sliepers to maneuver through the defense. After 78 played minutes Royal Antwerp FC got a freekick which was hit by Frederick Vereect. After having played for 80 minutes, Fabinho Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wambalamba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabinho Quadros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabinho Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. William Weggers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute Zé Paulo Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Weggers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Paulo Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. William Weggers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toninho Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Neirynck in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Royal Antwerp FC booed when Wambalamba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Eduardo Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Zé Paulo Motta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. William Weggers was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0.
