The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benedito Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabinho Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Umbrella Corporation's Benedito Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabinho Quadros in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Wambalamba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Vander to maneuver through the defense. Armando Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonardo Capixaba struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Toninho Moura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Umbrella Corporation. Toninho Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Peres in the 34th minute of the match. Umbrella Corporation were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Wambalamba FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tiago Gabriel Pereira took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Tiago Gabriel Pereira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Toninho Moura quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Umbrella Corporation's Benedito Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paulo Motta in the 38th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Zé Paulo Motta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wambalamba FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 40 played minutes Umbrella Corporation got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fábio Veloso. 43 minutes into the game, Bernardo Macedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Umbrella Corporation's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wambalamba FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Umbrella Corporation's Bernardo Macedo got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Fabinho Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wambalamba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabinho Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedito Ceresso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário Peres in the 55th minute of play forced Wambalamba FC's goalkeeper Toninho Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Zé Paulo Motta put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Benedito Ceresso. 66 minutes into the match, Wambalamba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joélson Senna came free, but Toninho Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Leonardo Capixaba came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Umbrella Corporation fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Capixaba couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the match, Zé Paulo Motta notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Umbrella Corporation's Benedito Ceresso. Benedito Ceresso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Fabinho Quadros fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wambalamba FC's protests and gave Fabinho Quadros a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Wambalamba FC's Fabinho Quadros got a free kick in the 80th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Wambalamba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joélson Senna came free, but Toninho Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Wambalamba FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
