In the 2nd minute, Nguyễn Chuong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Dalin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, FC Dalin's Huỳnh Thuy got a free kick in the 5th minute. Santiago Gau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thorvald Mansel in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Mainumby's goal looked a bit too open when Thorvald Mansel came free, but Santiago Gau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thorvald Mansel in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Gau saved Mainumby from getting behind. In the 18th minute, Trần Tinh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santiago Gau was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 25 minutes into the game, Huỳnh Thuy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Santiago Gau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marco Erasto kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Thorvald Mansel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Gau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Erasto did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Hoàng Nghiêm-Minh 29 minutes into the match. After 35 played minutes FC Dalin got a freekick which was hit by Huỳnh Thuy. Mainumby's Santiago Gau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Tinh in the 37th minute of play. Santiago Gau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Võ Bien in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mainumby's Benigno Ilazki got a free kick in the 44th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Mainumby's Honorato Omero was substituted for Gerardo Oinatz. Mainumby made a substitution. Armando Beltza replaced Candido Suero. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thorvald Mansel to make the kick off. Santiago Gau was a little too slow when Thorvald Mansel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 1-5. Santiago Gau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thorvald Mansel in the 58th minute. Honorato Omero hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Santiago Gau made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Thorvald Mansel sent off a good shot on target. Santiago Gau was a little too slow when Võ Bien got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 1-6. The audience was convinced that Võ Bien's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Gau was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Mainumby's Marco Erasto got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thorvald Mansel got free with Santiago Gau in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hoàng Nghiêm-Minh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Dominic, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Mainumby's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Thorvald Mansel scored to the left of an out of position Santiago Gau, making the score, 1-7. In the 84th minute Trần Tinh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Gau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 minutes of play, FC Dalin's Thorvald Mansel made it 1-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santiago Gau was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Mainumby booed when FC Dalin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Bruse didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Dalin's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
