The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, one of Patadura FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jano França made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Villafuerte Aramoyana sent off a good shot on target. When Villafuerte Aramoyana came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Porteño Prowess FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Villafuerte Aramoyana couldn't finish the play. Villafuerte Aramoyana might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jano França. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Villafuerte Aramoyana ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Patadura FC's zone, Fiallos Mellado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jano França came out of the goal and Fiallos Mellado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Porteño Prowess FC's Villafuerte Aramoyana slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jano França. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. 25 minutes into the match, Porteño Prowess FC's goal looked a bit too open when Esteve Nastasio came free, but Benjamin Cantolla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Villafuerte Aramoyana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jano França read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Villafuerte Aramoyana charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Villafuerte Aramoyana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes Porteño Prowess FC got a freekick which was hit by Villafuerte Aramoyana. In the 29th minute, Xan Gaona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute of the match Saverio Havier sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benjamin Cantolla skillfully saved the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Porteño Prowess FC's Villafuerte Aramoyana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jano França narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Urtzi Molinuevo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jano França having to interfere. Benjamin Cantolla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Txurio in the 36th minute of play. After some careless play in the Porteño Prowess FC defense, Diego Txurio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Cantolla. The Porteño Prowess FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Cantolla should have stopped the shot. Villafuerte Aramoyana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 40th minute Villafuerte Aramoyana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jano França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes Patadura FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Panpili. In the 45th minute, Claudio Astolfi sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Patadura FC's Jano França didn't even have to move. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The wind increased when Cristian Quintan made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fiallos Mellado during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 50th minute, Fiallos Mellado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Villafuerte Aramoyana in the 53rd minute of play forced Patadura FC's goalkeeper Jano França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Villafuerte Aramoyana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jano França. Patadura FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Villafuerte Aramoyana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 58th match minute, Patadura FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisito Arnau to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Porteño Prowess FC's goal looked a bit too open when Esteve Nastasio came free, but Benjamin Cantolla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64thth minute of the game Villafuerte Aramoyana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Patadura FC's Jano França was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fiallos Mellado was shown his second yellow card after 71 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Porteño Prowess FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Fiallos Mellado hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luisito Arnau during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Lastra Osas fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porteño Prowess FC's protests and gave Lastra Osas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Porteño Prowess FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Jano França was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Porteño Prowess FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
