The referee ignored Florida Gulf Coast's protests and gave Roberto Cayo a yellow card for diving instead. Roberto Cayo kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Gordon Nazario kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Krivé hnáty's Matej Kolesár played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Inko in the 29th minute of play. After 85 played minutes, Krivé hnáty's Roque Rivero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lucio Geofredo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Krivé hnáty reached it. After 86 minutes of play, Krivé hnáty's Erik Kniha made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lucio Geofredo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Krivé hnáty's Dušan Školiak got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute of the match Aurelio Erruki sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matej Kolesár skillfully saved the ball. In the 92nd minute Eleuterio Fiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matej Kolesár saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matej Kolesár showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Inko, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The Florida Gulf Coast supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Florida Gulf Coast would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
