Leonardo Dominix kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes Royal Antwerp FC got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Van der Hoeven. In the 34th minute, Joppe Van Kestbeek made a precise shot to the right of Lucio Geofredo. Florida Gulf Coast's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Walter De Hoef could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Lucio Geofredo made a huge save. After having played for 44 minutes, Nestor Inko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Florida Gulf Coast's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nestor Inko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Noel Creemers made a kick off. Gordon Nazario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Octave Boegaert fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Royal Antwerp FC's protests and gave Octave Boegaert a yellow card for diving instead. Jem Makaronas hit a great ball. Gordon Nazario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Noel Creemers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th match minute, Royal Antwerp FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octave Boegaert to maneuver through the defense. Walter De Hoef kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After having played for 94 minutes, Nestor Inko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
