Yiyo Oropeza started the match with the kick off. Alejandro Gavilanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruperto Bide in the 3rd minute of the match. If Ruperto Bide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ruperto Bide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The throw-in from Boris Mikaelsson in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gunners's Giorgos Kretsos. Victorio Gregory sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Gunners's Mauricio Mingo got a free kick in the 21st minute. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gunners's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Boris Mikaelsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Porteño Prowess FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Gunners's goalie and right to Alessandro Nesta. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Gunners's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A sloppy throw-in by Boris Mikaelsson in the 26th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Gunners's Giorgos Kretsos. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Porteño Prowess FC's goalkeeper Alejandro Gavilanes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gunners's Ildefonso Kismi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Boris Mikaelsson in the 28 minute of the game. In the 29th minute, Kenny Alströmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute of the match Porteño Prowess FC got a corner. Gunners's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Boris Mikaelsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 36 played minutes Porteño Prowess FC got a freekick which was hit by Boris Mikaelsson. Cipriano Urbasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yiyo Oropeza, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When Porteño Prowess FC's Yiyo Oropeza in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gunners's goalie prevented a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Porteño Prowess FC's Dobromir Przybylo was substituted for Alberto Ocomardia. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruperto Bide stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruperto Bide got free with Alejandro Gavilanes in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kenny Alströmer scored 1-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cipriano Urbasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cipriano Urbasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenny Alströmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yiyo Oropeza in the 93rd minute of play forced Gunners's goalkeeper Cipriano Urbasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Porteño Prowess FC's Alejandro Gavilanes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Porteño Prowess FC from getting a goal against them. Mauricio Mingo hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Gunners were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
