In the 9th minute Adan Gonza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Urbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cipriano Urbasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adan Gonza went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 12th minute, Gunners's Ruperto Bide ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Guaberto Cucao. Guaberto Cucao yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The supporters of Mainumby booed when Gunners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Farias didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Gunners's Muhittin Tuyuğ got a free kick in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Muhittin Tuyuğ in the 18th minute of play forced Mainumby's goalkeeper Guaberto Cucao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guaberto Cucao made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruperto Bide in the 19th minute. Guaberto Cucao stood somewhat misplaced when Ruperto Bide came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 20 minute. Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Bide in the 23rd minute of play. Guaberto Cucao made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Ruperto Bide sent off a good shot on target. Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Mainumby from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 28 in the game by Ruperto Bide from a close distance when the talented Guaberto Cucao managed to make a qualified save. Mainumby's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruperto Bide in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guaberto Cucao prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ruperto Bide took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guaberto Cucao. Guaberto Cucao dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Nunez Gizon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Cipriano Urbasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gunners's Eustacio Farias got a free kick in the 37th minute. Cipriano Urbasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nunez Gizon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Mainumby's goalkeeper Guaberto Cucao had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruperto Bide. A collision led to Gunners getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Eulalio Sadurni hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Mainumby's zone, Ruperto Bide stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guaberto Cucao came out of the goal and Ruperto Bide tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guaberto Cucao stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruperto Bide's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Gunners's Ruperto Bide sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guaberto Cucao narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Bide in the 62nd minute of play. Guaberto Cucao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Bide in the 64th minute of play. After 66 minutes of play, Gunners's Ruperto Bide made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guaberto Cucao was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guaberto Cucao stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruperto Bide's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Mainumby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruperto Bide was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Justino Estavan made in the 82nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which David Isusko however managed to control. In the 83rd minute, Muhittin Tuyuğ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cipriano Urbasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Chap, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87thth minute of the game Ruperto Bide who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 90th minute Ruperto Bide shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Cucao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Ruperto Bide managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gunners's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruperto Bide was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guaberto Cucao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Bide in the 95th minute of play. Gunners's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
