The audience was convinced that Cristian Quintan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guaberto Cucao was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Severiano Ordono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Cucao having to interfere. A collision led to Mainumby getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Amancio Intxixu hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Ricardinho Recife hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jano França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adan Gonza in the 14th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dante Sidro during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Mainumby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dante Sidro to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute Carmine Oddi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Cucao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guaberto Cucao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmine Oddi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adan Gonza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Mattei in the 22nd minute of play. Guaberto Cucao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Mattei in the 24th minute of the match. After 26 minutes Mainumby's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Severiano Ordono who took care of the corner kick. Jano França stood somewhat misplaced when Adan Gonza came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 35 minute. After having played for 40 minutes, Adan Gonza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mainumby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adan Gonza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adan Gonza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Mainumby's Lázaro Chap was substituted for Ladislao Serafo. Mainumby's Ezequiel Sugoi was substituted for Dante Sidro. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adan Gonza made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Carmine Oddi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Guaberto Cucao. That made the score 1-1 in the 54 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Gonza in the 58th minute of play forced Patadura FC's goalkeeper Jano França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Patadura FC's zone, Nunez Gizon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jano França came out of the goal and Nunez Gizon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guaberto Cucao came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Patadura FC's Cristian Quintan. But to his dismay, Cristian Quintan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carmine Oddi in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guaberto Cucao prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mainumby's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Silvano Tiadoro in the 73rd minute. After taking down the ball on Mainumby's corner Silvano Tiadoro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jano França quite easily take care of the ball. With his leg Guaberto Cucao managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Patadura FC's Carmine Oddi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jano França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adan Gonza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Patadura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adan Gonza came free, but Jano França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute of the match Mainumby got a corner. Patadura FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Silvano Tiadoro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The Patadura FC fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Patadura FC's Carmine Oddi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Agustin Lizer kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Agustin Lizer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Guaberto Cucao. That made the score 3-4 in the 94 minute of play. The Patadura FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Patadura FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
