René Stam made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Uriel Isias notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Las Palmas's René Stam. René Stam was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lázaro Colon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Peker Kazak showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 14 minute of play. René Stam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Porfirio, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute of the match, Rogelio Crescencio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lázaro Colon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lázaro Colon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peker Kazak, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. But to his dismay, Uriel Isias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 32 minutes into the match, Juniors FC's goal looked a bit too open when Darío Graabirk came free, but Lázaro Colon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Peker Kazak, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 33 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Lázaro Colon was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Las Palmas's René Stam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uriel Isias in the 37th minute of play. Lázaro Colon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 秦西星, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lázaro Colon made an important save on a dangerous shot by 秦西星 in the 44th minute. After 45 played minutes Juniors FC got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Satordi. The Las Palmas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Juniors FC were winning 1-3.

Juniors FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Uriel Isias in the 54th minute. Uriel Isias made a great header on Juniors FC's corner, it was just that Las Palmas's René Stam managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peker Kazak in the 59th minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61stth minute of the game Nicanor Porfirio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Las Palmas's René Stam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Juniors FC made a substitution. Enrique Frasco replaced Uriel Isias. After 68 minutes Las Palmas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Enrique Frasco who took care of the corner kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrique Frasco in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck René Stam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lázaro Colon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darío Graabirk in the 82nd minute of the match. Lázaro Colon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Darío Graabirk's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. With a little luck, Las Palmas's René Stam got control of the ball when Enrique Frasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. René Stam made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrique Frasco in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute, Juniors FC's Enrique Frasco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-5. The Juniors FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Juniors FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
