If Zeledon Savion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pedro Lucas fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC LeX Luthor's protests and gave Pedro Lucas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Pedro Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Las Palmas's René Stam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Savion in the 18th minute of play. Rogelio Crescencio hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Savion in the 44th minute of play forced Las Palmas's goalkeeper René Stam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

From close distance Alvaro Errando pressed in the 0-6 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 54 minutes into the game. René Stam came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by AC LeX Luthor's Mario Yepes. But to his dismay, Mario Yepes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. In the 59th minute, Alvaro Errando ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. René Stam was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. With a little luck, Las Palmas's René Stam got control of the ball when Alvaro Errando tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd minute Zeledon Savion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but René Stam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darío Graabirk took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fulgencio Eyague. Fulgencio Eyague dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-8. AC LeX Luthor's Peep Pronk was substituted for Alvaro Errando. AC LeX Luthor's Karl-Axel Kielstedt was substituted for Zeledon Savion. After a defensive mix-up in Las Palmas's zone, Pancho Branca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. René Stam came out of the goal and Pancho Branca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karl-Axel Kielstedt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but René Stam made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Peep Pronk put it in 1-9 from a short distance just to the right of René Stam. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peep Pronk in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck René Stam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84thth minute of the game Peep Pronk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Las Palmas's René Stam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner ended in Romeo Sanduru almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Las Palmas's René Stam did a great save. If Peep Pronk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. René Stam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peep Pronk in the 93rd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Peep Pronk notched a goal, 1-10, to the right of Las Palmas's René Stam. René Stam was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded AC LeX Luthor left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Las Palmas.
