Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bianco Cherubini in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Botinho FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sebastián Torrico made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cássio Sá in the 40th minute. C.F.Fuenlabrada's Bianco Cherubini got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute of the match C.F.Fuenlabrada got a corner. Botinho FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Freddie Ljungberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bianco Cherubini to make the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Julien Million who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hílton Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bianco Cherubini in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute of the match, Bianco Cherubini tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hílton Magalhães saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hílton Magalhães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Västerberg's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Hílton Magalhães didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when C.F.Fuenlabrada's Edward Västerberg shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 85th minute, Randy Doty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Botinho FC from getting a goal against them.
