Club Sportivo Italiano were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luisito Bikendi took the corner. The corner led to Club Sportivo Italiano's Masao Koriotto getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Miroslav Klose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ilídio Abrantes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reynaldo Stephen having to make a save. Miroslav Klose struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Reynaldo Stephen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.. Kristopher Johnson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Pes in the 37th minute of play. Miroslav Klose could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Stephen made a huge save. After a rather tough play, QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s Diamantino Vilela got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Theo Hayles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s Boniel Sovera got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Reynaldo Stephen came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s Miroslav Klose. But to his dismay, Miroslav Klose quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Club Sportivo Italiano's zone, Miroslav Klose stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Stephen came out of the goal and Miroslav Klose tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Club Sportivo Italiano's goalie and right to Ilídio Abrantes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Club Sportivo Italiano's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Miroslav Klose charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miroslav Klose the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Miroslav Klose kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Miroslav Klose managed to get in a good position for a shot. QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Miroslav Klose was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Stephen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Miroslav Klose came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miroslav Klose couldn't finish the play. Reynaldo Stephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miroslav Klose, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Klose in the 77th minute of play forced Club Sportivo Italiano's goalkeeper Reynaldo Stephen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miroslav Klose recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club Sportivo Italiano's Reynaldo Stephen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miroslav Klose in the 80th minute of play. When Masao Koriotto came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Club Sportivo Italiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Masao Koriotto couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miroslav Klose in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reynaldo Stephen saved Club Sportivo Italiano from getting behind. In the 87th minute Miroslav Klose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Stephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Sportivo Italiano's Reynaldo Stephen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miroslav Klose in the 96th minute of play. With a little luck, QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s Kristopher Johnson got control of the ball when Theo Hayles tried to sneak it across the goal line.
