Cachoeirinha fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when S.E. Cachoeirinha's Luiz Fabiano Prata looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marco Gizon kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Reynaldo Paio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club Atlético Temperley's Damian Silvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Veloso in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, S.E. Cachoeirinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Prata to maneuver through the defense. Damian Silvino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Otávio Arce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damian Silvino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Dorival Veloso hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Edinho Mello charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edinho Mello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd minute, Edinho Mello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maximino Martino to strike the kick off in the second half. Betão de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Bernebe in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Martino in the 56th minute of play forced S.E. Cachoeirinha's goalkeeper Betão de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind S.E. Cachoeirinha's goalkeeper Betão de Amaral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Fernan Bernebe made a precise shot to the right of Betão de Amaral. S.E. Cachoeirinha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in S.E. Cachoeirinha's zone, Reynaldo Paio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betão de Amaral came out of the goal and Reynaldo Paio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Club Atlético Temperley getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Marco Gizon hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Luiz Fabiano Prata ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damian Silvino was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Fernan Bernebe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernan Bernebe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Betão de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, S.E. Cachoeirinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Secco to maneuver through the defense. When Maximino Martino came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Club Atlético Temperley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximino Martino couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Maximino Martino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Temperley's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximino Martino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betão de Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maximino Martino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betão de Amaral having to interfere. Reynaldo Paio charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
