The ViCeNzA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ariel Bitxintxo should have stopped the shot. Ariel Bitxintxo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Omiros Simos went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 44 minutes into the match, Giannis Dimitropoulos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ariel Bitxintxo, 4-0. Marcelo Frans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Rosalio in the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omiros Simos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ariel Bitxintxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omiros Simos in the 51st minute of play. Ariel Bitxintxo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giannis Dimitropoulos went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Ariel Bitxintxo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ntinos Souliopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eulalio Casado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Frans having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, ViCeNzA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severo Barea to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the match, ViCeNzA's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Dimitropoulos came free, but Ariel Bitxintxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the ViCeNzA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
