After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Ladislao Gines managed to get in a good position for a shot. Creekers's supporters rose to their feet, but Ladislao Gines was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Frans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 5th match minute, Creekers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Vistruario to maneuver through the defense. In the 7thth minute of the game Ladislao Gines who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico de Madrid's Marcelo Frans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Creekers's Ladislao Gines sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Frans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Ladislao Gines made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Frans. Atletico de Madrid's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Jude Crocker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Dimitropoulos in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Creekers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalton Flaherty to maneuver through the defense. Nikos Sterpis took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jude Crocker. Jude Crocker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 27th minute of the game Christoforos Tiganidis made a throw-in which Giorgos Fytanidis played forward. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Ladislao Gines managed to get in a good position for a shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladislao Gines couldn't finish the play. Jude Crocker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giannis Dimitropoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The supporters of Creekers booed when Atletico de Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christoforos Tiganidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico de Madrid's zone, Ladislao Gines stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Frans came out of the goal and Ladislao Gines tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, Atletico de Madrid's goalkeeper Marcelo Frans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ladislao Gines. Ladislao Gines took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Frans. Marcelo Frans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Jude Crocker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charis Sakalakis in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ladislao Gines made a kick off. Marcelo Frans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislao Gines, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. Atletico de Madrid's Marcelo Frans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Gines in the 54th minute of play. Marcelo Frans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ladislao Gines went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Creekers's Riley Trotter was substituted for Ladislao Gines. Creekers's Uku Karju managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Christoforos Tiganidis in the 65 minute of the game. Riley Trotter might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Frans. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Riley Trotter ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelo Frans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Riley Trotter in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, Atletico de Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Segundo Maule to maneuver through the defense. Creekers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Saverio Vistruario in the 69th minute. The corner ended in William Kerns almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atletico de Madrid's Marcelo Frans did a great save. After 75 minutes of play, Creekers's Riley Trotter made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Frans was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jude Crocker was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Riley Trotter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelo Frans having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sylvesteri Valkama in the 90th minute of play forced Atletico de Madrid's goalkeeper Marcelo Frans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Atletico de Madrid defense, Riley Trotter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Frans. The Atletico de Madrid fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Frans should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the Creekers players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
