An unexpectedly hard shot by Yavuz Selim Gulson in the 21st minute of play forced Florida Gulf Coast's goalkeeper Luis Nardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Florida Gulf Coast was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Bitxintxo to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Florida Gulf Coast's goalkeeper Luis Nardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 27thth minute of the game Lukáš Katačić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but the sword of Damocles's 张旭傲 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luis Nardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 巩天帆, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Yavuz Selim Gulson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute 巩天帆 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Nardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when 巩天帆 made the kick off in the second half. Luis Nardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yavuz Selim Gulson in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute of the game Eleuterio Fiz made a throw-in which Gilberto Lekubegi played forward. 巩天帆 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Luis Nardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Lukáš Katačić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Florida Gulf Coast's supporters rose to their feet, but Lukáš Katačić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 张旭傲 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lukáš Katačić took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 张旭傲. 张旭傲 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Florida Gulf Coast's Luis Nardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 巩天帆 in the 75th minute of play. 巩天帆 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luis Nardo having to make a save. Florida Gulf Coast's Luis Nardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Florida Gulf Coast from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's goal looked a bit too open when 巩天帆 came free, but Luis Nardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute Lukáš Katačić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 张旭傲 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Lukáš Katačić cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. 张旭傲 was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. the sword of Damocles made a substitution. 汪霆邦 replaced 巩天帆. Luis Nardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 汪霆邦, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Florida Gulf Coast's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
