The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Souto was the one to do the kick off. Guará FC were furious when Valdemar de Alcântara was red carded, 51 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 51st minute, one of Guará FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Guará FC. The referee gave Barsa FC a penalty, 53 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nereo Florian, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Guará FC's Emílio Motta. 1-0.
