He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► reached it. A collision led to Bandelocos getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ruy Dantas hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Tostão Tasso notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Helder Marty. Helder Marty was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Basílio de Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. Tostão Tasso might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Helder Marty. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tostão Tasso ran back to his position shaking his head. Helder Marty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tostão Tasso in the 55th minute of play. Ruy Dantas charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ruy Dantas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► booed when Bandelocos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruy Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goal looked a bit too open when Ariando Belda came free, but Alberto Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s goalkeeper Helder Marty had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basílio de Mendonça. Atauri Fermoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Alberto Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bandelocos's Eliseu Guerra got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Tostão Tasso fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bandelocos's protests and gave Tostão Tasso a yellow card for diving instead. Tostão Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Bandelocos's Alberto Palmeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atauri Fermoso in the 92nd minute of play. Helder Marty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseu Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eneto Bruñon missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 98 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Alberto Palmeira right hand side. ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
