The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Frechoso got free with Ale Poláček in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 73 minutes into the game, GoooooL's 黄超亦 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernardo Tarulli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Club Atlethico Talleres's Bernardo Tarulli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guo Ming in the 81st minute of play. If Ranko Kvarantan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Augusto Frechoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. GoooooL were victorious despite being under pressure from Club Atlethico Talleres for much of the match.
