The audience was convinced that Ronaldo Simão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oso Amezaga was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. After 22 played minutes C.A. GUAYACO got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Canton. In the 25th minute James Rodríguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oso Amezaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s goalkeeper Arlindo Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caicedo Berrondo. Arlindo Rossi was a little too slow when Caicedo Berrondo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 1-1. Arlindo Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Pillado in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rdth minute of the game James Rodríguez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. GUAYACO's Oso Amezaga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 35 minutes └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Augusto Obarenes who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Augusto Obarenes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arlindo Rossi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 37 played minutes C.A. GUAYACO got a freekick which was hit by Gomez Berrahondo. Oso Amezaga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Simão's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Rodríguez in the 46th minute of play forced C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Oso Amezaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oso Amezaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

After some careless play in the C.A. GUAYACO defense, Ronaldo Simão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oso Amezaga. The C.A. GUAYACO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oso Amezaga should have stopped the shot. Oso Amezaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Simão in the 57th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Ronaldo Simão fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. C.A. GUAYACO's Oso Amezaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Simão in the 65th minute of play. Agustin Pillado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. C.A. GUAYACO made a substitution.
