Aurelian Vârlan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Clodoveo Caetano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Aurelian Vârlan made a huge save. Tudor Hobjilă charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tudor Hobjilă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Minerul Baita -MM-'s Tudor Hobjilă got a free kick in the 9th minute. A collision led to Minerul Baita -MM- getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Maxim Grecescu hit a great ball. Aurelian Vârlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Gora in the 14th minute of play. Leo Gora kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Israel Vergaray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Mandache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Israel Vergaray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosmin Bobeica, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Minerul Baita -MM- were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Nahitantino's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cosmin Bobeica took the corner. In the 21st minute, Gică Aldulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cosmin Bobeica recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Minerul Baita -MM- booed when Nahitantino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Clementi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurelian Vârlan made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Generoso Bonifaco sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the match, Nahitantino's Clodoveo Caetano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelian Vârlan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Higinio Illan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Aurelian Vârlan, passed just outside the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Grozuță during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Minerul Baita -MM-'s Fabian Grozuță got a free kick in the 35th minute. Clodoveo Caetano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelian Vârlan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nahitantino's goalkeeper Israel Vergaray, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

51 minutes into the match, Nahitantino's goalkeeper Israel Vergaray had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cosmin Bobeica. 54 minutes into the match, Minerul Baita -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Illan came free, but Aurelian Vârlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. German Gartzen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelian Vârlan having to interfere. After some careless play in the Minerul Baita -MM- defense, Higinio Illan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurelian Vârlan. The Minerul Baita -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurelian Vârlan should have stopped the shot. Generoso Bonifaco took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurelian Vârlan. Aurelian Vârlan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Nahitantino made a substitution. Oscar Romano replaced Saturnino Clementi. Aurelian Vârlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Generoso Bonifaco in the 71st minute of the match. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Aurelian Vârlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clodoveo Caetano in the 74th minute of play. Jonas Lertxun hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 76th match minute, Nahitantino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Lertxun to maneuver through the defense. Fabian Grozuță was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 79th minute Clodoveo Caetano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Vârlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cornel Mihai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurelian Vârlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Berbiz in the 84th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Illan in the 88th minute of play forced Minerul Baita -MM-'s goalkeeper Aurelian Vârlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute Clodoveo Caetano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Vârlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Illan scored 4-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aurelian Vârlan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
