Fermin Santos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evelio Refugio in the 8th minute. Ferdinand Ivașcu hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Fermin Santos came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by GoooooL's Leonard Cluceru. But to his dismay, Leonard Cluceru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Fermin Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Andone in the 21st minute of the match. Tiberiu Andone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of GoooooL booed when Atlético Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Rocio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Tiberiu Andone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fermin Santos. Atlético Nacional's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiberiu Andone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Fermin Santos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiberiu Andone went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. With a little luck, GoooooL's Mihăiţă Ştefulescu got control of the ball when Ignacio Confesor tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Tiberiu Andone fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GoooooL's protests and gave Tiberiu Andone a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Tiberiu Andone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Ignacio Confesor sent off a good shot on target. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu was a little too slow when Eleuterio Efren got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 1-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiberiu Andone to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, GoooooL's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Refugio came free, but Mihăiţă Ştefulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, GoooooL's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Estevez came free, but Mihăiţă Ştefulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Tiberiu Andone recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fermin Santos. Atlético Nacional's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Codrin Şoimaru during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to GoooooL getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Codrin Şoimaru hit a great ball. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Refugio, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 86th match minute, Atlético Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiberto Precioso to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, GoooooL's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Estevez came free, but Mihăiţă Ştefulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The GoooooL supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing GoooooL would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
