The referee ignored Nahitantino's protests and gave Enrique Rafe a yellow card for diving instead. Enrique Rafe kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Israel Vergaray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Rocio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Nahitantino booed when Atlético Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Refugio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Higinio Illan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fermin Santos. That made the score 3-0 in the 42 minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Generoso Bonifaco got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Generoso Bonifaco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Fermin Santos made a huge save.

The wind increased when Higinio Illan made the kick off in the second half. When Ignacio Confesor fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Nacional's protests and gave Ignacio Confesor a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atlético Nacional getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Ignacio Confesor hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Higinio Illan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fermin Santos was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 65th minute Clodoveo Caetano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fermin Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nahitantino made a substitution. The Nahitantino fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Nahitantino had played much better football throughout.
