The referee ignored Buenaventura FC's protests and gave Franklin Zambrano a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Buenaventura FC's Franklin Zambrano got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Sergiu Cobâlcescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Zambrano in the 5th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Franklin Zambrano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sergiu Cobâlcescu. That made the score 1-1 in the 15 minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Buenaventura FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonidas Escalona to maneuver through the defense. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Cosmin Bobeica got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Buenaventura FC defense, Cosmin Bobeica kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Oberto. The Buenaventura FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Oberto should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Minerul Baita -MM-'s Mihnea Aristide got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Sergiu Cobâlcescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin Zambrano in the 34th minute of play. Sergiu Cobâlcescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Zambrano in the 36th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dudu Georgescu in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Oberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 39th minute, Maxim Grecescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Franklin Zambrano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buenaventura FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Franklin Zambrano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sergiu Cobâlcescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 43 minutes into the game, Mugur Hurmuzache was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Minerul Baita -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buenaventura FC the free kick. After 43 played minutes Minerul Baita -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Mugur Hurmuzache. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Franklin Zambrano in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sergiu Cobâlcescu saved Minerul Baita -MM- from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Minerul Baita -MM-'s Mihnea Aristide got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 48thth minute of the game Franklin Zambrano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Minerul Baita -MM-'s Sergiu Cobâlcescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Franklin Zambrano made a kick off. Dudu Georgescu hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Nicolae Mandache was substituted for Cosmin Bobeica. The supporters of Buenaventura FC booed when Minerul Baita -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu Georgescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Orlando Ramírez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Dudu Georgescu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 68 minutes, Nicolae Mandache managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minerul Baita -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolae Mandache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Franklin Zambrano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Sergiu Cobâlcescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Ramírez hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Minerul Baita -MM-'s Nicolae Mandache dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. 81 minutes into the match, Buenaventura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cezar Bărnuțiu came free, but Jorge Oberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Minerul Baita -MM-'s Dudu Georgescu got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Gustavo Mota took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sergiu Cobâlcescu. Minerul Baita -MM-'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 94 minutes, Dudu Georgescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minerul Baita -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Dudu Georgescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Buenaventura FC's Jorge Oberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolae Mandache in the 96th minute of play. Minerul Baita -MM-'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
