Los Gallos's Joel Umea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Tajo in the 7th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Eleuterio Lamberto notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Los Gallos's Joel Umea. Joel Umea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 16th minute Alejo Carlomagno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Beltrán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Los Gallos's Silverio Bertran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santiago Beltrán made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 25 minutes into the match, Achtung Babies's goalkeeper Santiago Beltrán had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Serafin Abechuco. Santiago Beltrán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquiles Ermano, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. A collision led to Los Gallos getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. David Francis hit a great ball. Joel Umea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Tajo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute of the match Achtung Babies got a corner. Los Gallos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Silverio Bertran didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Achtung Babies's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Bertran came free, but Santiago Beltrán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Los Gallos fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Los Gallos's Silverio Bertran looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Los Gallos walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
