Agustín Ruberto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Leopoldo Beremundo kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Nair Galarza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Simbo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nair Galarza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agustín Ruberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Utopía Muerta FC's Agustín Ruberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Brion in the 11th minute of play. Octavio Lauaxeta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fidel Valente's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute Nair Galarza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Ruberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Utopía Muerta FC's Jacinto Toribio got a free kick in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Banegas in the 19th minute of play forced Utopía Muerta FC's goalkeeper Agustín Ruberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lane Rhoades kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Agustín Ruberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Banegas in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Jurdan in the 27th minute of play forced Utopía Muerta FC's goalkeeper Agustín Ruberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Fidel Valente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fidel Weather hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Tiburcio Enetz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Octavio Lauaxeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Beremundo in the 35th minute of play. When Simbo FC's Victoriano Banegas in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Utopía Muerta FC's goalie prevented a goal. Nair Galarza took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agustín Ruberto. Agustín Ruberto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Octavio Lauaxeta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fidel Valente in the 43rd minute. When Mauricio Jurdan fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Simbo FC's protests and gave Mauricio Jurdan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Simbo FC's Mauricio Jurdan got a free kick in the 44th minute. After 47 played minutes Simbo FC got a freekick which was hit by Nair Galarza.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fidel Valente was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Utopía Muerta FC's Agustín Ruberto got control of the ball when Jonas Brion tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leopoldo Beremundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavio Lauaxeta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Guillelmus in the 63rd minute of the match. Octavio Lauaxeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Salvador Guillelmus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agustín Ruberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nair Galarza in the 74th minute of play. When Lane Rhoades fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Simbo FC's protests and gave Lane Rhoades a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Simbo FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Lane Rhoades hit a great ball. In the 76th minute of the match Fidel Valente shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octavio Lauaxeta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Mauricio Jurdan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simbo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Jurdan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st match minute, Utopía Muerta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Beremundo to maneuver through the defense. Simbo FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
