After 31 played minutes, Achtung Babies's Adan Txeru shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dillon McDonough came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Achtung Babies reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Miami Futbol Club's zone, Diego Tajo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dillon McDonough came out of the goal and Diego Tajo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Achtung Babies's Diego Tajo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dillon McDonough. That made the score 2-0 after 37 minutes of play. Santos Metcalf made in the 43rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Mark Boyle. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Conrad Elliott was substituted for Colby Roth.

The wind increased when Eleuterio Lamberto made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Tajo came free, but Dillon McDonough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Tajo in the 77th minute of play forced Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper Dillon McDonough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 played minutes Achtung Babies got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Dalmai. Octavio Steven kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hermengildo Dalmai during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
