Eustaquio Castorena who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Juan Furtado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 24 minutes into the game, Urko Navedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Juan Furtado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ were furious when Kimetz Gauna was red carded, 27 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Isótopos V.M.. Miguel Merentiel stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fernandez Villaelrriego. 1-1. Karim Benzema hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Urko Navedo made a kick off. With a little luck, Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ's Fernandez Villaelrriego got control of the ball when Miguel Merentiel tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Isótopos V.M. getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Octavio Misael hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otsoko Zarza in the 64th minute of play forced Isótopos V.M.'s goalkeeper Juan Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isótopos V.M.'s Silvano Alvarez was substituted for Karim Benzema. If Eustaquio Castorena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Isótopos V.M. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
