La Gallardeta's Belchior Saldanha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save La Gallardeta from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, Isótopos V.M.'s goal looked a bit too open when Wilfred Vrede came free, but Ignacio Di Stasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute of the match La Gallardeta got a corner. Isótopos V.M.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alessio Scandella ran over to the corner to take the kick. Wilfred Vrede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wilfred Vrede's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ignacio Di Stasi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Wilfred Vrede left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Gallardeta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Albeiro Usuriaga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Belchior Saldanha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute Jan-Olof Eliasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Di Stasi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albeiro Usuriaga struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Belchior Saldanha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Isótopos V.M.. After some careless play in the Isótopos V.M. defense, Jan-Olof Eliasson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ignacio Di Stasi. The Isótopos V.M. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignacio Di Stasi should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albeiro Usuriaga got free with Belchior Saldanha in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ignacio Di Stasi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfred Vrede, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isótopos V.M.'s Ignacio Di Stasi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Olof Eliasson in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Isótopos V.M.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alessio Scandella was slow to take the kick. During this time La Gallardeta's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Alessio Scandella got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ignacio Di Stasi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Taribo West charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Taribo West the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Isótopos V.M.'s Taribo West got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Jan-Olof Eliasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belchior Saldanha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albeiro Usuriaga in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute Jan-Olof Eliasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Di Stasi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albeiro Usuriaga made a kick off. Sebastian Abechuco hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Isótopos V.M.'s Albeiro Usuriaga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Belchior Saldanha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Albeiro Usuriaga made a great header on Isótopos V.M.'s corner, it was just that La Gallardeta's Belchior Saldanha managed to reach the ball for a save. When Jan-Olof Eliasson got free in front of the goal in the 90th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ignacio Di Stasi was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Wilfred Vrede scored 1-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ignacio Di Stasi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ignacio Di Stasi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfred Vrede in the 96th minute of play.
