The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wilfred Vrede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico Velloso having to interfere. Héctor Mainer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Belchior Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Héctor Mainer in the 18th minute of the match. Wilfred Vrede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Juan Gotzon made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Achtung Babies's Torsten Norberg. Enzo Nuñez hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Héctor Mainer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Belchior Saldanha. La Gallardeta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Héctor Mainer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 37 minutes into the match, Achtung Babies's Héctor Mainer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Belchior Saldanha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eurico Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfred Vrede in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's goal looked a bit too open when Héctor Mainer came free, but Belchior Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Achtung Babies were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after La Gallardeta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Torsten Norberg took the corner. A well done corner resulted in Bruno Guillelme drilling the ball in to score 0-2 behind La Gallardeta's goalkeeper. After 46 played minutes La Gallardeta got a freekick which was hit by Juan Gotzon. Belchior Saldanha came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Achtung Babies's Héctor Mainer. But to his dismay, Héctor Mainer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.

The supporters of Achtung Babies booed when La Gallardeta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Paz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Torsten Norberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Achtung Babies's supporters rose to their feet, but Torsten Norberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Belchior Saldanha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. La Gallardeta's Belchior Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Héctor Mainer in the 63rd minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Héctor Mainer made a precise shot to the right of Belchior Saldanha. La Gallardeta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Zacarias Paz hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Achtung Babies's Kobi Usabiaga got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of La Gallardeta booed when Achtung Babies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Díaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torsten Norberg kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Achtung Babies's Eurico Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfred Vrede in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute La Gallardeta were awarded a corner. Alessio Scandella went to the cornerflag to take it. Kobi Usabiaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. La Gallardeta's Belchior Saldanha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save La Gallardeta from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Achtung Babies's Osvaldo Sayveon got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Jan-Olof Eliasson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eurico Velloso having to make a save. If Wilfred Vrede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eurico Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfred Vrede, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belchior Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kobi Usabiaga in the 94th minute of play. When Achtung Babies's Kobi Usabiaga in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Gallardeta's goalie prevented a goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Achtung Babies walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
