The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Achtung Babies's Eurico Velloso got control of the ball when Guter Tobia tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Aves Negras's Guter Tobia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eurico Velloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Eurico Velloso made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Guter Tobia sent off a good shot on target. Zinoviy Adler made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Aves Negras's Andrey Kapitanski. Aves Negras's Andrey Kapitanski managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Zinoviy Adler in the 23 minute of the game. Marcial Bakar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Héctor Mainer, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Achtung Babies's goalkeeper Eurico Velloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guter Tobia. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guter Tobia in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eurico Velloso saved Achtung Babies from getting behind. Eurico Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guter Tobia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcial Bakar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Héctor Mainer in the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Eurico Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guter Tobia in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to Achtung Babies getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Zinoviy Adler hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Achtung Babies defense, Guter Tobia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eurico Velloso. The Achtung Babies fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eurico Velloso should have stopped the shot. After 62 played minutes Aves Negras got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Goyo. Achtung Babies's Kobi Usabiaga was substituted for Héctor Mainer. Alejo Goyo hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Kobi Usabiaga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Achtung Babies's supporters rose to their feet, but Kobi Usabiaga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcial Bakar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute Efrain Artal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Kobi Usabiaga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcial Bakar. That made the score 2-1 in the 77 minute of play. After 80 played minutes Achtung Babies got a freekick which was hit by Zinoviy Adler. Clarence Seedorf didn't quite understand what happened when in the 82 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. 84 minutes into the match, Kobi Usabiaga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcial Bakar, 2-2. In the 87th minute Aaron Gallagher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Efrain Artal notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Achtung Babies's Eurico Velloso. Eurico Velloso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aves Negras's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
