Guter Tobia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eurico Velloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Achtung Babies's goalie and right to Marten Descamps. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Achtung Babies's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Guter Tobia sped through Achtung Babies's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eurico Velloso. 17 minutes into the match, Achtung Babies's goal looked a bit too open when Guter Tobia came free, but Eurico Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 minutes Achtung Babies's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Enrique Perico who took care of the corner kick. 24 minutes into the match, Guter Tobia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eurico Velloso. Achtung Babies's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guter Tobia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Marten Descamps hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Marcial Bakar made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Héctor Mainer sent off a good shot on target. Torsten Norberg hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Héctor Mainer was the one to do the kick off. Marcial Bakar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Héctor Mainer in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Achtung Babies getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Jan Falkiewicz hit a great ball. After 63 played minutes Achtung Babies got a freekick which was hit by Jan Falkiewicz. Eurico Velloso came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Aves Negras's Guter Tobia. But to his dismay, Guter Tobia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After 67 played minutes Achtung Babies got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Sosa. Aves Negras's Efrain Artal was substituted for Guter Tobia. After having played for 69 minutes, Jurand Banas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aves Negras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jurand Banas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Aves Negras booed when Achtung Babies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Sayveon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Achtung Babies's Eurico Velloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Achtung Babies from getting a goal against them. 78 minutes into the game, Aves Negras's Efrain Artal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eurico Velloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. If Torsten Norberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the game, Aves Negras's Efrain Artal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eurico Velloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Efrain Artal might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eurico Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Efrain Artal ran back to his position shaking his head. Efrain Artal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eurico Velloso having to make a save. Eurico Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Artal in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the game, Achtung Babies's Kobi Usabiaga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcial Bakar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. Aves Negras's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
