Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Hermann Hesse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 8th minute of play. Camilo Salvidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rius Mascaran in the 12th minute of play. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Araoz Solanos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Armando Roland, made in the 16th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaizkine Ibern in the 17th minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Salvidor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaizkine Ibern went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 25th minute Gabriele Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermann Hesse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermann Hesse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rius Mascaran got free with Camilo Salvidor in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabriele Batistuta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hermann Hesse having to make a save. With a little luck, Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor got control of the ball when Rius Mascaran tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute, Rius Mascaran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rius Mascaran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Araoz Solanos hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Hermann Hesse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriele Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabriele Batistuta to strike the kick off in the second half. Gabriele Batistuta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Hermann Hesse made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriele Batistuta in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermann Hesse saved Deportivo Popolizio FBC from getting behind. Hermann Hesse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Carlo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deportivo Popolizio FBC made a substitution. Torbjørn Trondsen replaced Nils Gielis. Armando Roland made in the 68th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Silverio Sergi however managed to control. In the 70th minute Abdoulay Doucouré shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermann Hesse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Hermann Hesse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Popolizio FBC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Firmo in the 90th minute of play forced Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goalkeeper Hermann Hesse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olly Morgan in the 91st minute of the match. Cris Ronaldo charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cris Ronaldo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, Deportivo Popolizio FBC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cris Ronaldo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torbjørn Trondsen in the 95th minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Deportivo Popolizio FBC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Menchu FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Menchu FC.
