In the 8th minute, Grabiel Escorcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 18th minute of play forced MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Angelo Prior to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, MILLONARIOS FC's Mon Ibaute got a free kick in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, MILLONARIOS FC's Rafael Jauregui got a free kick in the 26th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Nacional's goalkeeper Cristiano Aveiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jozef Kloots. Thanks to some nice moves Christoffer Blomqvist could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Cristiano Aveiro however easily saved by the left post. MILLONARIOS FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rafael Jauregui in the 33rd minute. After taking down the ball on MILLONARIOS FC's corner Christoffer Blomqvist fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cristiano Aveiro quite easily take care of the ball. MILLONARIOS FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rafael Jauregui in the 34th minute. When Walter Geromel fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nacional's protests and gave Walter Geromel a yellow card for diving instead. 36 minutes into the game, one of Nacional:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Nacional:s Cristiano Aveiro showed great skill when he stopped Christoffer Blomqvist:s penalty. After 38 played minutes MILLONARIOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Mon Ibaute. After having played for 41 minutes, Joseph Gayoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joseph Gayoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christoffer Blomqvist struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Cristiano Aveiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MILLONARIOS FC. In the 47th minute Christoffer Blomqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Aveiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The corner ended in Rafael Jauregui almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nacional's Cristiano Aveiro did a great save. In the 58th minute of the match, Grabiel Escorcia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Angelo Prior saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mon Ibaute kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Christoffer Blomqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Aveiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nacional's Cristiano Aveiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christoffer Blomqvist in the 70th minute of play. Nacional made a substitution. Walme Yurre replaced Mendiko Bueres. MILLONARIOS FC's Federico Errazquin was substituted for Rafael Jauregui. Nacional were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after MILLONARIOS FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Xu Sha took the corner. A very nice done corner allowed Joseph Gayoso to score against Angelo Prior in MILLONARIOS FC's goal. 0-1 after 77 minutes. In the 80th minute, Grabiel Escorcia made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Prior. MILLONARIOS FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Angelo Prior came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Nacional's Xu Sha. But to his dismay, Xu Sha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Cristiano Aveiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Errazquin in the 88th minute of play. Cristiano Aveiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Corredor, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nacional walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
