Yánez Aldaeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Estavan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Atlethico Talleres's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Hanley Morrison scored to the left of an out of position Basilio Jobo, making the score, 1-0. A collision led to Club Atlético Univ. UASD getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Bartolomé Matheus hit a great ball. Basilio Jobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Palma in the 27th minute of play. Ranko Kvarantan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Yánez Aldaeta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Atlético Univ. UASD's Yánez Aldaeta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Ermengol in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Club Atlethico Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Hanley Morrison came free, but Basilio Jobo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The wind increased when Casimiro Villanueva made the kick off in the second half. Basilio Jobo came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Univ. UASD's Norbert Gutiev. But to his dismay, Norbert Gutiev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 56th minute of the match, Moises Ermengol tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Yánez Aldaeta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 57th minute, Severiano Ourente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th match minute, Club Atlethico Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Min to maneuver through the defense. The audience cheered when Casimiro Villanueva's long shot passed Basilio Jobo's right side. It was 3-0, 60 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, Moises Ermengol made a precise shot to the right of Yánez Aldaeta. Club Atlético Univ. UASD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Ernesto Estavan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yánez Aldaeta. That made the score 3-2 in the 67 minute of play. Yánez Aldaeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Estavan in the 70th minute of play. Norbert Gutiev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute Casimiro Villanueva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Jobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yánez Aldaeta made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Ernesto Estavan sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Club Atlético Univ. UASD booed when Club Atlethico Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Kepa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atlethico Talleres's Moises Ermengol got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. UASD's Omar Palma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basilio Jobo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Atlethico Talleres players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Atlético Univ. UASD.
