UASD's Yánez Aldaeta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Beremundo in the 4th minute of play. Casimiro Villanueva's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cesario Roma firmly grabbed it by the left post. 8 minutes into the game, Epifanio Barrionuevo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BFC 1982's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Univ. UASD the free kick. In the 8th match minute, BFC 1982 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Epifanio Barrionuevo to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, one of BFC 1982:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for BFC 1982. 12 minutes into the match, Casimiro Villanueva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cesario Roma. BFC 1982's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Casimiro Villanueva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Yánez Aldaeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Corderro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casimiro Villanueva came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cesario Roma could save by the left post. In the 25th match minute, BFC 1982 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Jaizki to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Leandro Corderro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yánez Aldaeta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 played minutes Club Atlético Univ. UASD got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Villanueva. After 37 played minutes BFC 1982 got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Jaizki. In the 40th minute, Casimiro Villanueva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edelmiro Beremundo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Omar Palma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute, BFC 1982's Edgardo Txaran dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Norbert Gutiev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Cesario Roma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, BFC 1982 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Honrio to maneuver through the defense. Cesario Roma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimiro Villanueva, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Casimiro Villanueva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cesario Roma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Yánez Aldaeta made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Edelmiro Beremundo sent off a good shot on target. 71 minutes into the game, Leandro Corderro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Yánez Aldaeta. Leandro Corderro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 75th minute Omar Palma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesario Roma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Villanueva in the 78th minute of play forced BFC 1982's goalkeeper Cesario Roma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Univ. UASD's Casimiro Villanueva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cesario Roma made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Yánez Aldaeta was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Leandro Corderro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leandro Corderro really showed his touch with that goal: 3-3. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
