Erwann Patrice could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Charles Björkqvist made a huge save. Cosa nostra Lyon's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tim Ménet in the 18th minute. After 21 minutes of play, Here Comes the Hammer's John Eriksson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clem Fath was left in no man's land by his defense there! Erwann Patrice fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Björkqvist having to interfere. Valdir Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Clem Fath took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdir Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Charles Björkqvist managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Cosa nostra Lyon's Erwann Patrice fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Erwann Patrice struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Charles Björkqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosa nostra Lyon. Tord Spetz's late challenge caught a Cosa nostra Lyon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tord Spetz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th match minute, Here Comes the Hammer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tord Spetz to maneuver through the defense. Charles Björkqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erwann Patrice in the 41st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erwann Patrice in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charles Björkqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 54thth minute of the game Erwann Patrice who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Here Comes the Hammer's Charles Björkqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Here Comes the Hammer's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tim Ménet was slow to take the kick. During this time Cosa nostra Lyon's players had a chance to rest. After having played for 62 minutes, Valdir Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Here Comes the Hammer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdir Velloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cosa nostra Lyon's Erwann Patrice got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Here Comes the Hammer's Tord Spetz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Thierry Platon in the 74 minute of the game. Thierry Platon kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The supporters of Here Comes the Hammer booed when Cosa nostra Lyon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thierry Platon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 played minutes Cosa nostra Lyon got a freekick which was hit by Thierry Platon. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thierry Platon during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cosa nostra Lyon getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Thierry Platon hit a great ball. Charles Björkqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erwann Patrice in the 93rd minute of the match. Murilo Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute Erwann Patrice shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Björkqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
