The audience was convinced that Valdir Velloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leif Opdal was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. In the 11th minute, Valdir Velloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 14 played minutes Here Comes the Hammer got a freekick which was hit by Marko Persson. After a rather tough play, Here Comes the Hammer's Song Hao Feng got a free kick in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Christer Ribe sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Charles Björkqvist threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Christer Ribe this time. 24 minutes in the game Kevin Strømsnes did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jan-Kenneth Heistad. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kai Østbye during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But to his dismay, Kai Østbye quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 32 minutes, John Eriksson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Here Comes the Hammer and the Brufoss IL players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Brufoss IL booed when Here Comes the Hammer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Eriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charles Björkqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Markham in the 33rd minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Kai Østbye dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Charles Björkqvist, 2-2. After 41 played minutes Here Comes the Hammer got a freekick which was hit by Emil Paulin. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdir Velloso got free with Leif Opdal in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 71 minutes, Valdir Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Here Comes the Hammer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdir Velloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
