If Osvaldo Pietro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victoriano Ranolfo hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. A collision led to San Fernando Eagles getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Santos Confesor hit a great ball. Dário Eagles's late challenge caught a El Bobo y El Bocho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dário Eagles helped the player get up and apologised. Dário Eagles hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Osvaldo Pietro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Osvaldo Pietro sped through San Fernando Eagles's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Saul Etxeberri. Osvaldo Pietro in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Saul Etxeberri, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marcelo Celino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Remicio, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Saul Etxeberri was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Osvaldo Pietro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Osvaldo Pietro really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 43rd minute, El Bobo y El Bocho's Osvaldo Pietro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Saul Etxeberri. Saul Etxeberri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo Pietro was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Osvaldo Pietro put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Saul Etxeberri. In the 56th minute, Santos Confesor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the match, Eriberto Louis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Saul Etxeberri. San Fernando Eagles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eriberto Louis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Saul Etxeberri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. In the 65thth minute of the game Osvaldo Pietro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Fernando Eagles's Saul Etxeberri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Osvaldo Pietro put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Saul Etxeberri. 77 minutes into the game, Angelo Maiorga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After a defensive mix-up in San Fernando Eagles's zone, Osvaldo Pietro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saul Etxeberri came out of the goal and Osvaldo Pietro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Saul Etxeberri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Pietro in the 83rd minute of play. In the 88th minute Osvaldo Pietro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Etxeberri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th match minute, San Fernando Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Erramun to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Benedicto Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. El Bobo y El Bocho had played much better football throughout.
