In the 37th minute of the match, Leonides Lidon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Waldo Hills saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 38th minute San Fernando Eagles were awarded a corner. Leonides Lidon went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on San Fernando Eagles's corner Benedicto Marquez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Waldo Hills quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the San Fernando Eagles defense, Geoff Ackerman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabricio Nahia. The San Fernando Eagles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabricio Nahia should have stopped the shot. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonides Lidon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Connor Presley did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-9 to the left of a surprised Fabricio Nahia 80 minutes into the match.
