The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pablo Ubendu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geoff Ackerman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pablo Ubendu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Pablo Ubendu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Hinton in the 23rd minute of the match. Connor Presley might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pablo Ubendu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Connor Presley ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 32nd match minute, Deportivo Rodriguez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Carver to maneuver through the defense. Waldo Hills acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 33rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alfonso Mel. Connor Presley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Tyrell Cochran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Ubendu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Rodriguez's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tobias Oihan 45 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Connor Presley to make the kick off. Geoff Ackerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 played minutes Valhalla Time got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Urdaspal. Merle Tomlinson might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pablo Ubendu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Merle Tomlinson ran back to his position shaking his head. Leonard Hinton charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonard Hinton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Valhalla Time booed when Deportivo Rodriguez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Hinton didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the game, Tobias Oihan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Waldo Hills was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tobias Oihan took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Waldo Hills. Waldo Hills dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Dirk McMillian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Pablo Ubendu made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Maximino Eduino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valhalla Time's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximino Eduino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldo Hills breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geoff Ackerman might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pablo Ubendu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geoff Ackerman ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Deportivo Rodriguez getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Geoff Ackerman hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the game, Erasmo Urdaspal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valhalla Time's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Rodriguez the free kick. A collision led to Valhalla Time getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Erasmo Urdaspal hit a great ball. Valhalla Time were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Deportivo Rodriguez for a fine match.
