Geoff Ackerman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thomas Ravelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Connor Presley, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. La vecchia signora's Thomas Ravelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save La vecchia signora from getting a goal against them. Connor Presley's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Thomas Ravelli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tyrell Cochrans short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Thomas Ravelli to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Atlético Patoruzu fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Atlético Patoruzu's Connor Presley looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Connor Presley in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Ravelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute, Maximilian Larsfelt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Merle Tomlinson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thomas Ravelli. La vecchia signora's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 38th minute Tomas Dahlqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldo Hills saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Ravelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Connor Presley's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Dahlqvist to make the kick off. When Tomas Dahlqvist came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the La vecchia signora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Dahlqvist couldn't finish the play. Thomas Ravelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. La vecchia signora's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
