The referee felt a red card was in order, 42 minutes into the game, when Seve Sevilla put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Sporting Burgas getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Seve Sevilla hit a great ball. 48 minutes into the match, Sporting Burgas's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Julin came free, but Álvaro Perpiñán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kurt Julin made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Sporting Burgas's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Julin came free, but Álvaro Perpiñán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd play minute Kurt Julin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Álvaro Perpiñán. 1-2. Cedro Pantoja made in the 61st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ronaldo Palomar. Kurt Julin might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Álvaro Perpiñán. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kurt Julin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 64th minute Kurt Julin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Perpiñán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th match minute, VAR is coming was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alto Wing to maneuver through the defense. Álvaro Perpiñán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Julin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Álvaro Perpiñán came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by VAR is coming's Kurt Julin. But to his dismay, Kurt Julin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After 82 played minutes Sporting Burgas got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Palomar. Kurt Julin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Perpiñán having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Kurt Julin managed to get in a good position for a shot. VAR is coming's supporters rose to their feet, but Kurt Julin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Álvaro Perpiñán breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Sporting Burgas booed when VAR is coming was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heliodoro Astudillo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
