In the 11th match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fellipe da Silva to maneuver through the defense. Moises Socorro kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Carlos Manuel Goyeneche came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Castanheiro SC's Umberto Dionísio. But to his dismay, Umberto Dionísio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Carlos Manuel Goyeneche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Sarmento in the 24th minute of the match. Carlos Manuel Goyeneche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The supporters of Plebeyos booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Umberto Dionísio got free with Carlos Manuel Goyeneche in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Plebeyos's Octavio Tanio got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Castanheiro SC's Pedrinho Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Escobar in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th minute, Benedito Mineiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Manuel Goyeneche was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Dionísio in the 69th minute of play forced Plebeyos's goalkeeper Carlos Manuel Goyeneche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
