Claus Himschoot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind PomeziaRamblers's goalkeeper Claus Himschoot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 20th minute of the match VILLARREAL UNITED got a corner. PomeziaRamblers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Delmar Campello ran over to the corner to take the kick. Nofre Madariaga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claus Himschoot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute Bruno Scibilia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baraxil Sarrate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, VILLARREAL UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuele Biavati came free, but Baraxil Sarrate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Valentin Voicu sped through PomeziaRamblers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Claus Himschoot. Baraxil Sarrate made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Emanuele Biavati sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st minute Nofre Madariaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claus Himschoot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valentin Voicu was the one to do the kick off. Valentin Voicu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claus Himschoot having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, VILLARREAL UNITED's Valentin Voicu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claus Himschoot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Bruno Scibilia came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the PomeziaRamblers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Scibilia couldn't finish the play. Valentin Voicu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claus Himschoot having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valentin Voicu in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claus Himschoot saved PomeziaRamblers from getting behind. 77 minutes into the game, VILLARREAL UNITED's Valentin Voicu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claus Himschoot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Claus Himschoot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valentin Voicu in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Voicu in the 94th minute of play forced PomeziaRamblers's goalkeeper Claus Himschoot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing VILLARREAL UNITED would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
