An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Nazario in the 14th minute of play forced Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Leif Opdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Patricio Nazario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black Devils's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Nazario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leif Opdal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leif Opdal was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Patricio Nazario capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Patricio Nazario really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Brufoss IL's Leif Opdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Nazario in the 24th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Brufoss IL:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Black Devils:s goal. Leif Opdal had in the 33rdth minute some difficulties stopping Temel Reis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 35th minute, Frode Tobiassen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brufoss IL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Patricio Nazario might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leif Opdal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Nazario ran back to his position shaking his head. Leif Opdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Nazario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Nazario struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Leif Opdal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Black Devils. Leif Opdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Nazario in the 45th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Markham to make the kick off. A collision led to Black Devils getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Ceferino Maidana hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Patricio Nazario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 68th minute Patricio Nazario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Opdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Kevin Strømsnes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brufoss IL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Black Devils the free kick. After a rather tough play, Brufoss IL's Kevin Strømsnes got a free kick in the 70th minute. Brufoss IL's Nils-Arne Bruvik was substituted for Kevin Strømsnes. Brufoss IL's Eric Ferstad was substituted for Frode Tobiassen. After 71 played minutes Brufoss IL got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Strømsnes. Patricio Nazario might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leif Opdal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Nazario ran back to his position shaking his head. Alejandro-Ramón Calderón De La Barca was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Emanuel Markham capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Emanuel Markham really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Leif Opdal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Nazario in the 83rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Black Devils's Miromir Juszkowski got a free kick in the 88th minute. Eric Ferstad's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Alejandro-Ramón Calderón De La Barca skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Brufoss IL's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
