Carl Utfal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Markham's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In the 20th match minute, Brufoss IL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kai Østbye to maneuver through the defense. Sonstorps Fotboll's Carl Utfal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Sonstorps Fotboll from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute Jørg Heichendorff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Opdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brufoss IL's Emanuel Markham got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brufoss IL were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Sonstorps Fotboll's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Christer Ribe took the corner. The corner led to Brufoss IL's Kai Østbye getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Sonstorps Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Markham came free, but Carl Utfal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 played minutes Brufoss IL got a freekick which was hit by Tom Utheim. Sercan Refet took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leif Opdal. Brufoss IL's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Leif Opdal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Bergman in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute Sonstorps Fotboll were awarded a corner. Jørg Heichendorff went to the cornerflag to take it. After 46 played minutes Sonstorps Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Jon Haraldsson. In the 47th match minute, Sonstorps Fotboll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Bergman to maneuver through the defense. If Frode Tobiassen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 54thth minute of the game Emanuel Markham who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sonstorps Fotboll's Carl Utfal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carl Utfal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Markham, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Markham couldn't finish the play. Brufoss IL's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
